DECO OFF Report: Pierre Frey novelties

part 4
February 2, 2015

Acquaintance with a new collection of Pierre Frey during DECO OFF in one of the best textile showrooms in Paris, was a real pleasure for our  team of designers. New collection Nuit & Jour (Night and Day) is so multifaceted in themes and styles, but it absolutely supports the general art-trend of this season and represents the best traditions of the legendary textile house. In the collection You will find amazing prints on velvet, historical and graphic patterns on flaxes and blended fabrics depicting themes of tireless journeys to Asia, Africa and Oceania, the motives of abstract art, traditionsof aborigens, philosophy of Japanese theatre and much more to inspire a decorator on true creativity when developing interior project…

The idea of creating a collection Nuit & Jour appeared by impression made by art-work of Paul Gauguin’s “Where do we come from? Who we are? Where are we going?”, had thought at that moment: from nothing to life, from darkness to light.  The collection “Nuit & Jour” introduces this concept in the restrained palette of black and natural in order to accentuate the idea of duality and alteration. This elegant contemporary collection presents a sophisticated play of materials, variations of light and shadow, making it resolutely geometric.

Samples of the new collection of Pierre Frey soon You will be able to see in our showroom Fifth Avenue.
